Store

Shellfish will last as long as 2 weeks if properly refrigerated. The best place to store your oysters and clams is in a dry, open container in the refrigerator. When transporting your share, the shellfish will do well on short trips in a cooler with ice. Make sure the oysters do not sit submerged in melted ice, freshwater, or sealed in an airtight container.
